New menu items at Cantina Laredo

Cantina Laredo, a staple here in DFW, has released a new menu with mouthwatering items you need to check out soon. After all, they are the modern Mexican restaurant with a twist! (Fun fact: Did you know the original Cantina Laredo is in Addison??)

Here's a preview of a few new menu items:

A refreshing and fruity drink to try is the Salted Watermelon: Casa Noble Crystal Organic Tequila with watermelon puree, Grand Marnier Orange Liqueur, lemon and lime juices. T his one was a hit at my table!

The White Honey Sangria, another brand new drink, is a sweet beverage to pair with your meal. If you like all things honey and sangria, you'll certainly enjoy this blend.

Do you always have the guac vs queso dip debate at your table? Here's the perfect combo of fresh guacamole and queso to make everyone happy!

Pictured above are the Flautitas - found on the expanded Tapas section of the menu. Enjoy a sharable plate of chicken tinga flautas drizzled with poblano sauce, under shredded lettuce, diced tomato, fresh jalapeño, red onion, avocado, chopped cilantro and queso fresco (because you can never get enough queso!).

If you're a fan of Mexican style burritos, you're sure to enjoy Cantina Laredo's burritos - five of them to be exact. Choose from chicken tinga, ground sirloin, chicken fajita, chicken chimichanga and steak fajita. Each burrito is packed with vegetables, beans and a dressing and comes with a side of beans and rice.

You can also get lunch for under $10 at Cantina Laredo every Monday through Friday. For more details please visit

(Disclaimer: I was invited to a media dinner to experience the menu items, and all opinions are my own.)
