Vegans and vegetarians, as well as carnivores, will gather this upcoming Sunday, October 20th, in Reverchon Park for the 4th Annual Texas Veggie Fair to celebrate all things plant-based, eco and compassion for animals. Among other speakers, Grammy-Award winner Erykah Badu will be the keynote.

Canned Festival, from the same people that brought you Untapped, is happening this Saturday, Oct., 5th, in Williams Square in Downtown Denton. Doors open at 3:30 with the A.M. National Polka Festival will be held in Ennis, Texas, Friday through Sunday, May 24-26, 2013, with the purpose of celebrating the Czech heritage of the local area. These festivities are held annually on Memorial Day Weekend, and feature an abundance of cultural activities that can be enjoyed by the entire family in a small city atmosphere. Admission varies by day.
