Ever wanted to take a look into an artist’s studio? This weekend is your chance to take a look inside 44 of them! The White Rock Lake Artists Studio Tour is in its 17th year and like every year it’s free. The self-guided/self-paced tour features 47 professional artists and 5 art centers in the White Rock neighborhood.

Bike, walk, or drive to the Bath House Cultural Center and pick up a map of the tour after 10am on Saturday or Sunday.

Last year some of the houses/centers had signs out front which was helpful, however, some did not. There is a meetup group organizing a carpool on Saturday. More information about this group here.

The White Rock Lake Artists’ Studio Tour began 17-years ago with six artists and now includes 47 artists and five art centers/schools. This opportunity offers entrance into the special working environment of each artist. See tools, ideas and processes of art creation and explore studio spaces for each artist’s needs. See art in varied stages of conception by painters, sculptors, potters, photographers, glass and mosaic artists, jewelers, fiber artists and printmakers.

Referred to as the “Mother of Art Studio Tours” this event also uniquely includes art schools and centers with open doors to class facilities, students at work and special exhibitions. This self-guided tour is open to anyone with an interest in art. Maps and details available at the Bath House Cultural Center, the Creative Arts Center.
