Brighten Up Your Holiday At The Light Park
The Light Park has become a growing sensation in Texas and a family-favorite Christmas activity for many. This drive-through experience allows the entire family to enjoy thousands of Christmas lights and various displays right from the comfort of their own vehicle. It is perfect for those that want the holiday experience without having to be out in the weather!
While The Light Park has already established itself in Frisco and Arlington over the past few years, they have now expanded to the town of Little Elm as well! The new addition is located along the banks of Lake Lewisville, offering a bit more serenity to the experience. We decided to check out this new location to see what visitors can expect this season.
As a family of four, it was nice to see that the entry fee is per vehicle rather than based on occupancy. We visited on a weeknight, and the crowd was virtually nonexistent. This is sure to change on the weekends or closer to Christmas, so I’d suggest going as soon as possible to get the full experience. However, we were able to drive completely at our own pace, enjoying every song and detail.
Your drive starts by entering a concessions tent. We purchased the “Blitzen Bundle” which included a large bucket of popcorn, two lemonades in illuminated cups, lighted wands, and “magic glasses” which turn lights into Christmas themed shapes. My two younger daughters thoroughly enjoyed the extras.
Once in the park, vehicles drive through numerous unique scenes, accommodated by music. Some of our favorite parts were watching the light bulbs, snowmen, and other characters in displays singing along to the radio. There was a nice variety of Christmas music and all of the lights were synchronized. We danced and sang along throughout the drive.
The admission for the Little Elm location was only $39.99 if purchased online, making it perfect for large families that can’t afford individual tickets to other holiday attractions in DFW. Pets are also welcome. For more information or to purchase your own tickets, click here.
