Thursday Features Local Texas Music in a Courtyard Oasis

The courtyard oasis on Lemmon Avenue and Oak Lawn features a different local musician each Thursday from 5-8pm. The courtyard is behind the well known local and organic boutiques Hadley & Harriet and New Harmony.

This Thursday, June 25th, Matt Ingram Band brings a sultry voice and rhythms and rhymes to "all those who have a strong affection for great music."

Relax in the courtyard, bring your dog, and BYOB.

El Ten Eleven Playing Saturday at Double Wide

El Ten Eleven Playing Saturday at Double Wide

El Ten Eleven is a two piece instrumental band out of Los Angeles, CA. Bassist and composer Kristian Dunn and drummer Tim Fogarty have been playing together since 2003 and was a showcase artist at SXSW in 2006.

I first heard El Ten Eleven on the soundtrack of Helvetica, an independent documentary released in 2007. I was hooked on the entire soundtrack for a couple of months.

If you're looking for a laid back, low key scene this Saturday, I would recommend making your way to Double Wide around 10:30pm and listening to this duo live at 11.

There is nothing worse than going to a bands website and finding out they were in town ... 2 days ago. And so, 2 bands I've been excited about now for a while are coming to Dallas in June.
