Amber Williams, A Dallas native and graduate of TWU, has appeared in films such as Run, B.O.O.S.T., and Frackers. She has since taken her craft internationally, and shares her acting story with us. Poet, actor, activist, writer, and musician Saul Williams performance was unspeakably awesome, as he engaged all of us in deep thought with his appearance at the Kessler Theater in Dallas last week.

Dallas Fan Days overcame the odds to put on another great show at the Irving Convention Center. Four of the main actors set to make an appearance, including headliner Matt Smith, canceled just a few weeks prior to the event due to scheduling conflicts. This may seem like devastating news to an expo that has approximately ten celebrity guests set to appear but the organizers did a great job of mending the issue. In an unsuspecting move they were able to secure David Tennant, arguably the best Doctor in the series, and several other prominent television actors.

Eugene Brave Rock was thrust into the public eye when this year’s blockbuster hit, Wonder Woman, was released in movie theatres. If you were lucky enough to make it to the 2017 Dallas Fan Days in Irving, you could find him seated next to stars like David Tennant and Kristian Nairn. However, Gene’s background is quite different from the other stars in attendance.

Lead singer of Bowling For Soup, Jaret Reddick, graciously agreed to answer some of my burning questions I had for him.

Since our initial announcement of the upcoming annual Digital Summit Dallas event, we thought you might like to know that of the 45 featured speakers at Digital Summit Dallas, three are Dallas-based. Jen Kirkman is back on tour this year – with all new material. Stories and jokes that you haven’t seen on her Netflix specials. Don’t worry. She covers the bottomless pit of comedy that is Drumpf and also talks about her year of seeing fraudulent spiritual healers, holidays without family, being accused of not being “woke” by young people, and tales of when she was a young obnoxious third party voter, and pretentious hater of pop culture.

Dallas Fan Days 2017 will have its fair share of pop icons in attendance, but arguably none as nostalgic as actress Mara Wilson. You may recognize Mara from her childhood roles in classic 90s movies such as Matilda, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Miracle on 34th Street. Many people, such as myself, grew up watching her on the big screen and were left wondering what happened to the promising young actress after she abruptly exited the Hollywood scene. We were lucky enough to catch up with Mara in an exclusive interview before she makes her first Dallas appearance next weekend.

Dallas Fan Days has just announced the addition of David Tennant, the indomitable Tenth Doctor in the iconic series, who was voted by readers of Doctor Who Magazine as the “Best Doctor.”
