Tonight is the Art Conspiracy’s 5th annual fundraiser, this year benefiting Resolana.

The auction benefit will feature 150 Dallas area artists in an empty warehouse, and live music from Telegraph Canyon, The Crash That Took Me, The Boom Boom Box and RTB2. Paul Slavens, KXT Disc Jockey, will host tonight’s fundraiser.

The artist studios are open year around by appointment, but once a year, they open on the same day, giving visitors a chance to really experience a creative, evolving neighborhood.

Meet the artists, see where they work and what they create. Search and find the perfect piece to take home with you. If you’ve never been to the Cedars, now is a great chance to learn about the neighborhood.

State of the Arts will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Museum’s Horchow Auditorium on four different evenings. Each lecture will present a pair of arts leaders and will be moderated by KERA’s Jeff Whittington. The lectures are free with general admission to the Museum, but reservations are encouraged. Artist Guillermo Kuitca will join Noah Simblist, Associate Professor of Art at SMU, and Charles Wylie, the Lupe Murchison Curator of Contemporary Art, for a discussion of his work.

Mr. Kuitca is the designer of the Winspear Opera House permanent stage curtain that was done in collaboration with the center’s architects, Foster & Partners.

The AT&T Performing Arts Center’s week long grand opening is coming to a close Sunday with an all day/all free festival.
