A Taste of Germany in Historic Downtown McKinney! 

McKinney Oktoberfest is a family favorite, offering authentic German music, food and drink, traditional costumes, dancing, children’s activities and much more. The “bier garden” covers a total of 14 blocks throughout McKinney’s Historic Downtown square so you can enjoy all downtown McKinney has to offer with a German beer in one hand and a bratwurst in the other. The Ultimate Cocktail Experience is back for another round. On September 22, one of the world’s largest charity cocktail events—and Dallas’s most fun annual event—is popping up once more. This time, the festivities will take place at the Bomb Factory in Deep Ellum, where some of the best bartenders in DFW and around the world will showcase their talents by creating original bar concepts and themed menus.

An authentic recreation of the Munich Oktoberfest, this event features more than 30 hours of continuous family-oriented entertainment. Serving special “Oktoberfest” Bier along with incredible German culinary fare, the festival also includes a Marketplace, music, and kid-friendly options like rides, midway games, and more.

Held in September at Trader’s Village, the focus of this partnership event with the City of Grand Prairie is to highlight and promote local businesses, both community and chamber wide. The purpose is to educate the community about local companies and the many products and services available to them, as well as to provide exhibitors with an additional marketing tool with which to promote their products and broaden their customer base.

One of Dallas’ first beer festivals returns to the Dallas Farmers Market on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Brewfest is an outdoor beer-sampling event and festival that will feature over 500+ local, international and craft beers, music, local food and more.

The 32nd Annual GrapeFest® – A Texas Wine Experience, presented by Bank of the West, is back for four days of family-friendly festival fun on September 13-16, 2018.  Make plans to sip and sample premium Texas wines and champagne while enjoying live entertainment, delicious festival food and so much more! 

Okrapalooza 2018 will take place this year on September 9th at The Lot in East Dallas. This is the 9th year to bring together Dallas’ top chefs together for a cook off for the best okra dishes. This event raises funds for community members to have access to quality, nutritious foods. There will be live music including the Mack Price and Mack Price, Jr., local beer, and great food including incredible okra tastings, and summer side dishes. This year’s theme will be The Beatles!
