In its 7th year, the Oak Cliff Film Festival has established itself as a significant city-wide event, featuring the best of Oak Cliff’s theatre and art venues, restaurants, bars, and small businesses. OCFF showcases brave and independent filmmaking of all stripes in an atmosphere that encourages and fosters filmmaking in Dallas and beyond.
The Oak Cliff Film Festival was established in 2011 as a regional film festival in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas. The festival has received national acclaim from prominent sources including The New York Times, Filmmaker Magazine, and Moviemaker Magazine. Led by the Aviation Cinemas team, who took over operations at the Texas Theatre in December of 2010, and backed by the 501 3(c) Oak Cliff Foundation.
Taste of Oak Cliff is a one-day food experience that will feature 60 of the finest local vendors, restaurants, breweries, and food trucks. ​This event will debut on Saturday, April 7th, 2018, with festivities taking place over several blocks at the corner of 10th Street & North Beckley Ave., in the heart of the neighborhood. However, I’ve never made a film. I’ve never written a screenplay. Nor, have I ever directed anybody, hustled for funds, actors, locations, or equipment.

This Sunday May 19th, BrewRiot will for the fifth year be showcasing homebrewers and their homemade brands in the Bishop Arts District area of Oak Cliff. specifically on North Bishop Avenue just south of W 7th Street. The showcase will benefit the beloved 501c3 Go Oak Cliff which puts on many festivals in Oak Cliff every year. This year, this epic outdoor Dallas street festival will have live music for the first time, more food, more games, and more everything. BrewRiot attendees get the opportunity to judge which is the best brew for themselves as he/she make their way around the tents tasting the various brews.
