If you told me I’d see a devil dog in my lifetime I wouldn’t have believed you – until last night. Dallas didn’t hold back as droves of costumed guests made Decks in the Park their Thursday night outing. Accompanied by the beacon of a rainbow, Decks goers were treated to the most electric event of the season! Tiny tots triumphantly dotted the stage until eventually it was a swarm of costumed madness. I dare someone to name one event, other than the internationally acclaimed Texas State Fair, that brings literally every demographic together — shoulder to shoulder in euphoric harmonious musical bliss.

A journey to Klyde Warren Park can provide an experience as unique as the person who takes it. With over 100 monthly events it can be hard to keep up. Yoga? Yes please. Food trucks? Don’t mind if I do. Music? I thought you’d never ask. Music is said to be the great connector, and if you’ve had a chance to join Decks in the Park you’d know why. Every last Thursday of the month, this distinct event allows you to connect to your neighbors, friends, family and city all in one enchanted night.

State Fair of Texas – Sept. 30th – Sunday, Oct. 23rd – Fair Park Station. It’s the last weekend of the fair! The theme for 2016 is “Celebrating Texas Agriculture,” and special activities will include concerts on the Main Stage and college football games. Daily activities include the Starlight Parade at 7 p.m. and the Illumination Sensation lights and fireworks show at 8 p.m. (more info)
