Many people make New Year’s Resolutions to 1) exercise more and 2) spend more quality time with the family. I've come up with a list of ways you can easily get some exercise with your kids - with everyone enjoying themselves. The kiddo age range for these activities is about 6 years to 11 years.

November 22, 2009; 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. ] Fall in Dallas means, among other things, that art lovers can get a head start on holiday shopping during the Bath House Cultural Center Art Mart, November 20 – 22, 2009. Art Mart has always been the place to find a special piece of art for yourself, family, and friends: paintings, sculpture, photography, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, cards and other unique creations.

[ October 17, 2009; 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. October 18, 2009; 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. ] Ever wanted to take a look into an artist's studio? This weekend is your chance to take a look inside 47 of them! The White Rock Lake Artists Studio Tour is in its 17th year and like every year it's free. The self-guided/self-paced tour features 47 professional artists and 5 art centers in the White Rock neighborhood.

[ September 6, 2009; 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm. ] It's the 15th annual WRR Picnic in the Park this Sunday! Bring your picnic dinner, wine, blanket and listen to the sounds of the Dallas Wind Symphony. And during the concert, artist David Mcculough will be painting live and on stage. The painting will be available for purchase after the show. David's work is currently on display at HCG Gallery on Dragon St. in Dallas.
