Did you know Hitchcock makes a cameo appearance in 39 of his 52 major films?

[ May 20, 2009; 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm. ] Classic movie night at The Belmont Hotel would be perfect for a date night or even going without one. Alright, perhaps this is an event that yields better with company, so bring a friend and a big blanket. BarBelmont will be serving food and alcohol, so don't bring your beer cooler. Doors will open at 7:30pm and the movie will begin at sundown. Running late? Don't worry. Valet parking is provided, and admission is free.
[ May 1, 2009; 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. ] On Friday, May 1st, Texas Theater will be showing Lon Chaney's 1923 horror classic, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Paul Slavens will lead a live musical score to accompany the screening. Tickets are cheap - $8/Adult $4/Children. Purchase tix online. Showtime is at 7pm.
These are the best sort of events to go to. A classic film in an old theater, a live orchestra, and a cheap ticket to get in. Take advantage of stuff like this. You'll be surprised at what you get out of it.
[ April 30, 2009; 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. ] Next Friday, “Is Anybody There?” starring Michael Caine opens. The USA Film Festival will be featuring the film on Thursday, April 30 at 7PM at the Angelika Dallas. People will be purchasing tickets to get in to see the film but, guess what? You might not have to purchase your tickets. The folks at cinecamp have some comp tickets to give away! That’s right, we’re giving away 5 passes which each guarantee 2 spots in the screening (10 seats total guaranteed admittance) to the 4/30 showing of IS ANYBODY THERE? at the USA Film Festival in Dallas, Texas. The short films run 5-15 minutes each, and the whole program will last about an hour. You might see 5 or 6 short films during that time. All of them will give you a taste of something different. One or two will take you by complete surprise and have you thinking, "What the hell?"
