The Farmers' Market at Mockingbird Station begins April 22nd

[ April 22, 2009; 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. ] It's true! Mockingbird Station will host its own farmers' market, beginning on April 22nd from 5-8pm. To kick off the market, and to educate you about going green, the Station will be offering a workshop to educate you on energy, recycling and conservation. Urban Outfitters + American Apparel will also have a sidewalk sale featuring environmental friendly products. Oh, did you know April 22nd is Earth Day?

Savor Dallas 2009 is this weekend & benefiting 3 local charities

[ March 6, 2009; 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm. March 7, 2009; 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. ] Savor Dallas is an annual event that started five years ago by co-founders Vicki Briley-White and Jim White. Each year seems to have a unique memory behind it. What struck me to post about this event (all wine aside) is Savor Dallas donates a portion of net proceeds to three local charities: North Texas Food Bank, The Education and Scholarship Fund for the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association, and The Arts Magnet Building Campaign for Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. I listed Friday's special tasting event and the 3 Saturday wine tasting seminars.
