From what I know it was the first TEDxKids in the world! Depending on what info you are looking for, my guess would be to contact the organizers at SMU.

Also, there are talks of having TED Tuesday's at CoHabitat. I'll post more information when I hear it has been scheduled.

I filled mine out about two months ago (and I really did take a lot of time on the application) unfortunately SMU still managed to find 980 other (more interesting) people to attend. Not one of the three friends I know that applied got an invite. I guess getting radio airplay to promote an event can do that!

Enough whining though...

The main reason I wanted to go was to organize "Ted Heads" an in person meeting of the minds to discuss the sorts of subjects that TED covers, year round on a regular basis. (Sort of a modern day Cabaret Voltaire every Friday or Saturday night perhaps?) Email me if you would like to help organize a regular meeting for TED enthusiasts that will extend to the entire community, and not be just for those lucky few still in academia. steven(dot)ivy(at)gmail(dot)com

I plan to be outside the lecture on October 10th gathering email addresses if any of my fellow rejects care to help out. Thanks Steve

This is a wonderful idea and I'm really excited about the kids' versions! I love the way they have those set up - with the kids doing volunteer work to 'pay' for their tickets! That's awesome!
