Peter Max Exhibit at the Crescent

Legendary artist Peter Max will have paintings on exhibition and available for acquisition at Wisby-Smith Fine Art at the Crescent in Dallas with previews running from May 25, 2012 through June 3.

The exhibit features paintings of Texas favorites: Flag of Texas, the iconic Dallas Cowboys helmet, the University of Texas Longhorns helmet, Statue of Liberty, Max’s famous “Flag pieces, “Umbrella Man” and the prestigious 10 Cent Stamp bearing the title “Preserve the Environment”. There will also be presentations of never-before-seen celebrity portraits. Max will also unveil his latest paintings, which includes two interpretations of famous Vincent Van Gogh pieces, done in Max's signature style and colors.

Peter Max will be making two very special Artist appearances at Wisby-Smith.

About the Artist

One of the most famous living artist’s, Peter Max is also a pop culture icon. His bold colors, uplifting images and uncommon artistic diversity have touched almost every phase of American culture and has inspired many generations.

Peter Max has painted for six U.S. Presidents. His art is on display in Presidential Libraries and U.S. Embassies.

Max has painted Lady Liberty annually since America’s Bicentennial. A collage of his Liberties adorned 145 million Verizon phone books.

Max has been named an official artist of the 2006 U.S. Olympic Team at the Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. He has also been Official Artist of 5 Super Bowls, World Cup USA, The World Series, The U.S. Open, The Indy 500, The NYC Marathon and The Kentucky Derby.

His art has flown the skies on a Continental Airlines 777 Super Jet. His installations include a 600-ft stage for the Woodstock Music Festival, a giant mural for the Winter Olympics and 10-ft guitars for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

  7. Just another wacko catholic who is probably a victim of rape himself. I know a couple who per my pscyhologist cousin said that the church rapes kids and then uses their screwed up mind to drive the churches agenda of hate and discrimination against gay people.

    Exaple - one know (admittedly a fixed gay) said that gays support the westboro baptist church (nuthouse) because it brings them sympathy

    He also said that Matthew Shepards parents should have fixed him - blaming the parents for their sons brutal murder

    BTW why did RATZInger quit - its quite possible that the church figures he will be called before the International criminal court , probably for crimes agaisnst children - hiding the moelstation
