The first annual Etsy Spring Bash will be held on Saturday, May 16th from 11am - 5pm. The show will feature local handpicked artists and crafters, DJ tunes, DIY crafts, a free Etsy Dallas-sized raffle, and 50 free swag bags filled with handmade Etsy Dallas items. Sign me up for one of those, please! The event is free and open to the public. Spring Bash will be at South Side on Lamar located at 1401 S Lamar St.
If you haven't heard about Etsy until now, I suggest heading straight to the site and browsing around. Start out by looking at some of the Featured Sellers - it's quite inspiring to read the story behind the artist who is doing (and making a living on) what they love. You can also browse by area to support local artists. I also follow DesignIsMine - she shares her daily finds, most of which come from Etsy. A lot of the items she post's about are sold out before the end of the day. They are ridiculously good finds.
