Be a Sommelier for a Day at III Forks, Nov. 4

Have you ever wanted the chance to be a sommelier at a fine dining restaurant with a world-class wine cellar?  Then III Forks in Dallas has created the perfect new offering. Each month, the renowned steakhouse will offer a Sommelier for a Day opportunity. The first Wednesday of each month from 5-7 p.m., guests can help select featured wines for the coming month.

For $20 per person, guests will sample six wines selected by the Wine Director at III Forks and paired with hand-passed hors d’oeuvres created by Executive Chef Chris Vogeli.

Each month features a new theme. For November, 2015, the restaurant will showcase The Crown Jewels – the six wines selected during the past six months. All six wines will be poured and served alongside tasty passed treats. The favored wine will win a place on the III Forks menu for the month of December.

This month's event takes place Nov. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at III Forks Steakhouse (17776 Dallas Parkway, Dallas, TX 75248). Call 972-267-1776 to make a reservation.

  1. You will starve as a server/server/barkeep in Austin unless you go way top of the line. Austin was populated for a considerable length of time by over taught servers who might work for pennies and a large portion of them are still here. The pay is not extraordinary for most places and Austin prides itself on being sufficiently peculiar that you ought to be cheerful just to be working at a percentage of the better places. Tips are ghastly no matter how you look at it.
