July 3, 2010; 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. ] After the 2010 SXSW Music Festival, Next Big Sound, a tracking tool for monitoring fan interaction with music groups, released data on their website that was music to my ears. Personally, I can't resist hearing new music that might potentially takeover my iTunes playlist for the next few months. Last week I sampled all the artists on the list, bought a few albums, and then dug in a little deeper to check if any of them were coming to town. As of this posting, 6 bands have announced dates in Dallas. Check them out here.

The event goes above and beyond to create a fun and friendly environment while offering a unique look into the Oak Cliff we all have yet to discover.

Home to thousands of unsigned independent artists where fans can download new music legally , and bands can host and showcase their music for free.
[ March 9, 2010; 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. ] After a couple months of prep and planning, Team CJ has pulled together our wits and resources and we're ready to rock our upcoming Core Conversation at SXSW Interactive.
But before we get all serious and pack it in for SouthBy, we are throwing a sendoff party for our friends and fans!

[ March 4, 2010; 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. ] Here at ILiveinDallas.com, we have traditionally promoted and reported on the Dallas art scene, advocacy, musical performances, education, literary talks, and cultural events in order to encourage the creative and expansive growth of the community. We are now opening a new category: technology and the social web. We want to offer our readers educational and networking opportunities in order to learn everything they can about using social media, web tools, and ways to collaborate with like-mined individuals to expand their knowledge. With that said, here is our first official article in this new category.
[ February 17, 2010 10:00 am to March 14, 2010 10:00 am. ] As the lights dimmed at The Music Hall at Fair Park, the familiarly haunting opening refrain of one of America's most famous contributions to musical theater began to fill the air. As the richness of the pipe organ soared above the crowd, the eyes of all were drawn upward as the stage and the room were magically transformed into an opera house reminiscent of early 20th century France; as the all too famous chandelier took its place above the crowd, it became suddenly and undeniably clear- the Phantom of the Opera had once again arrived in Dallas.
