The Women's Museum will be celebrating the opening art exhibit of Roberta Harris: UP on Saturday, July 11th, 2009. Meet the Houston-based artist in person and view her artwork from 1985 to the present. Her latest work, birds and grid, looks beautiful online. I spoke with Alyssa Gardina who said Harris' "Apple Sky" will be displayed at the exhibit. Yay!

The Meadows Museum at SMU will be presenting a three-week lecture series exploring the social, cultural and political climate of Mexico during Diego Rivera's lifetime. The lectures are free and advanced registration is not required.
